Cette peinture rare de Tadashi Kaminagai, intitulée Casario do Rio de Janeiro (1958), représente un paysage urbain dynamique de Rio dans un style post-impressionniste lumineux. Exécuté à l'huile sur panneau duratex, l'œuvre est signée et datée en bas à droite et à l'envers. Il reste en excellent état et est présenté dans son cadre en bois d'origine avec une bordure sculptée. Kaminagai, un peintre japonais-français-brésilien et proche contemporain de Foujita, était une figure clé de l'art moderne brésilien. Célébré pour son utilisation audacieuse de la couleur et de la lumière émotionnelle, son influence a façonné des générations d'artistes japonais-brésiliens.
