Originellement utilisé comme objet symbolique par l’ethnie indigène Wauja du Haut-Xingu, ce banc est une création contemporaine de l’artiste indigène Turuza réalisé grâce aux techniques et matériaux traditionnels. Taillé dans une pièce massive de bois, ses motifs peints à la main lui donne un aspect très graphique et sculptural.

Originally used as a symbolic object by the indigenous ethnic groups of Upper Xingu, this bench is a contemporary creation made using traditional techniques and materials. Carved from a solid piece of wood, its hand-painted patterns give it a very graphic and sculptural look.
