L'artiste a également contribué à la diffusion de la culture bahianaise, notamment en adoptant le nom de l'État et en diffusant des informations sur Bahia dans tous les pays où il voyageait avec ses œuvres.

Kennedy Bahia was one of the pioneers of the expansion of fine arts in the state and became known for its cheerful and colorful tapestries. In the 60s and 70s, Kennedy Bahia, who was close friends with the writer Jorge Amado and the artist Carybé, was considered the greatest tapestry artist in Brazil, his collection Fauna e Flora da Bahia, from 1973, being appreciated by collectors around the world. The artist also contributed to the spread of Bahian culture, in particular by adopting the name of the State and disseminating information about Bahia in all the countries where he traveled with his works.
