The gallery Brazil Modernist / Pereira & Matis, founded by the Franco-Brazilian couple Caroliny Pereira and Vladimir Matis, is a gallery specialized in historic and contemporary Brazilian collectible design.
Based in Paris and São Paulo, the gallery is dedicated to promoting Brazilian modernist design and contemporary Brazilian design, through a rigorous selection of collectible furniture and objects created by major figures of Brazilian modernism, such as Joaquim Tenreiro, Jorge Zalszupin, Lina Bo Bardi, José Zanine Caldas, Giuseppe Scapinelli, Carlo Hauner & Martin Eisler, Sérgio Rodrigues, and Celina Zilberberg.
The gallery also represents a curated selection of contemporary designers from the Brazilian scene, including Lucas Recchia, Etudio Rain, Juliana Vasconcellos, Tiago Braga, André Ferri, Alva Design, and Nicole & Luiza Toldi.
A member of the Syndicat National des Antiquaires (SNA), Brazil Modernist participates in major international fairs dedicated to design and decorative arts, including PAD Paris, PAD London, Ceramics Brussels, and Design Miami.Paris, affirming its role as a key reference on the international market for Brazilian collectible design.
